Thanks for the responses. I've discovered all I need to know. She now lives with her husband in Bradford, England. And she went to Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic), not Poland.

No, the Susan Bell I'm referring to wouldn't have become an 'astronomist' and most likely isn't called 'Bell' any more, as she got married. If you search Facebook for your own name, you'll see just how many members there are with the same name, and that's just the youngsters on Facebook. But yes, she'll now be 58-59 - nice! that means I am too!

Here's another one! A classmate back in the sixties at Bury Grammar School, this Susan Bell was tall, slim and brunette. She'll be 58 now – horror! that means I am too!

My mum is called Susan Margeret Bell, but she was from Birmingham and settled down in Nottinghamshire in the late 70's.

It's a nice name anyway. I suppose the Susan I knew isn't called Bell any more. I presume she got married and maybe has a Polish surname. People do seem to search the web for their own names, but I don't know what women tend to do when they have a choice between married and maiden. It must depend on what they're really searching for.
