Only Sea and Sky
Nothing except the effects of gravity, temperature, wind, and light on the earth's moisture, in this instance looking west over Port Phillip Bay in Victoria, Australia, from the beach near Chelsea. This is one of the few places in the south east of the continent where the sun sets over the sea. The pictures were taken from 2002 to 2004. The sparce clouds in the vast Australian sky tend to have a hard-edged stillness with a haunting character all of their own, very unlike the softer cloudscapes usually seen in Western Europe.
